You leave Dublin and drift westward into the quiet heart of Ireland, where the Shannon widens and the land feels older. Clonmacnoise rises from the riverbank like a whisper from another century — round towers, high crosses, and the ruins of a monastic world that shaped early Ireland.
A short drive brings you to Athlone and the famous Sean’s Bar, Ireland’s oldest pub. Whether it’s a quick look inside or a relaxed lunch, it’s a perfect pause before continuing west.
By late afternoon you roll into Galway, the city of colour, music, and easy laughter. The Latin Quarter hums, the streets glow, and the evening is yours.
Overnight: Galway
The morning carries you south toward the Cliffs of Moher, where the Atlantic crashes against the rock and the wind carries the kind of views people remember for years.
Doolin makes a lovely lunch stop — a tiny village with a big musical soul — before you cross into the strange, ancient beauty of the Burren, its limestone pavements dotted with tombs and wildflowers.
A ferry crossing over the Shannon brings you into Kerry, where the mountains rise and the lakes shimmer as you settle into Killarney for the night.
Overnight: Killarney
You leave Killarney and head east into Cork, where Blarney Castle stands wrapped in woodland and legend. Guests can wander the gardens, explore the castle, and — if they wish — climb to the top to kiss the famous stone.
From there the road leads to one of Ireland’s most iconic silhouettes: the Rock of Cashel. Rising from the plains of Tipperary, its towers and battlements feel like something lifted from myth. It’s a place where history, architecture, and landscape meet in one breathtaking moment.
After time to explore the site and soak in the views, you continue the final stretch back to Dublin, arriving in the evening with the full sweep of Ireland’s west, south, and midlands behind you.
Tour ends in: Dublin
